Pirelli Calendar by Sarah Moon

The Pirelli calendar has been published annually since 1964 by the tire company of the same name (except for a break between 1975-83). Shot by extremely in-demand fashion photographers, it's a limited-supply high-art nudie calendar given as a corporate gift to important customers. Over the years, the calendar has featured pretty much every famous model you can think of.

Here are some photographs from Sarah Moon's 1972 Pirelli Calendar. They are not in a particular order

There are more Sarah Moon photos on this blog here.

Michael and Frances Higgins

These are a couple of really cool fused-glass mobiles made by Michael and Frances Higgins, owners of Higgins Glass Studio in Riverside, Illinois since 1948.

The top one is from the 90's and the bottom one is from the 70's.

Though the mobiles are my favorite, they also make things like sconces, platters, bowls, etc. My mom bought me a bowl that looks like their work, but it's not marked, so I am not sure.
