Duro Olowu

One of my favorites, Duro Olowu, is a Nigerian-Jamaican designer based in London. I love the combo of colors and the smash of patterns. Everything is pretty crazy (or crazy-pretty?), but pulled off so well. Below are some pieces from a variety of collections.

The eyeglass print makes me think of my first pair of glasses as a kid. They were clear plastic frames with little glasses printed in pastel all over the front, and they had mint-green arms. Cute and dorky.

Duro Olowu, Spring/Summer 2010

Spring/Summer 2010 looks from Duro Olowu. I love the mixing of patterns and the contrasting colors.

The only place to get his clothes in New York is Barneys! I also hear that Michelle Obama is a fan, probably because his clothes are also carried at Ikram in Chicago.
