Miscellaneous Babes
Poster for Madonna, live at the Red Parrot, probably in 1984.
Tim Walker, Lily and Spiral Staircase, shot in Wadhwan in Gujarat, India. From UK Vogue, July 2005
Toyen, Schlafende, 1937.
Toyen was a Czech avant garde surrealist artist who worked mainly with erotic subject matter. Her style (of photo collages) seems to have been an influence on Linder Sterling.
Photo by Richard Burbridge. He has a really graphic high-contrast style that I like. He also seems to favor neon colors, as do I!
i-D
i-D magazine was established in 1980 by Terry Jones. A lot of the older covers are so exciting; there are more, as well as interview with Jones, at Hint.
I forgot that their thing is to make the models "wink", which comes from the fact that the logo is like a laughing and winking smiley face if you turn it on its side. Early issues had i-D positioned like that (the magazine cover itself was oriented sideways). It's pretty incredible that they've been able to carry out this trick for thirty years.

Cover by Linder Sterling! This issue has multiple covers; I am not sure where this specific one was available. In the US we had James Franco on the cover.
